Laboratory Services Act Decisions

On October 1, 2015, the Laboratory Services Act (LSA) came into force. Under the legislation, the Minister of Health is responsible for the governance and accountability, audit, service delivery, and compensation for all publicly funded laboratory services in BC.

When the Ministry of Health makes strategic and operational decisions in association with laboratory services such as provincial policies and guidelines, fee-for-service payment schedules, and public and private facilities that offer laboratory and/or specimen collection services, it issues an official Record of Decision and makes the content available to the public.
