Strategic Human Resources Planning

The Agency has been directed by the Ministry of Health to undertake the development of a provincial strategy human resources (HR) plan to support the recruitment and retention of laboratory professionals needed to support the delivery of laboratory services. The strategic HR plan will make recommendations to address laboratory medicine workforce needs by profiling the current BC laboratory workforce, forecasting the future workforce supply and demands, and projecting workforce gaps to support laboratory service delivery. The Agency will engage with laboratory services providers, and education/didactic and regulatory partners for a thoughtful planning approach to the strategic HR plan.
